Full Itinerary
Heart of Africa Lodge
Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO). Transfer to Heart of Africa Lodge. Light snacks provided. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Breakfast at the lodge. Enjoy local excursions (see appendix for options). Overnight at the lodge.
Mt. Kilimanjaro Hike
Day 3: Transfer to Kilimanjaro base and start the hike. Overnight at mountain camps.
Days 4-7: Hike through Machame, Shira, Lava Tower, Baranco, Karanga, and Barafu camps.
Day 8: Summit Kilimanjaro and descend to Mweka Camp.
Day 9: Complete descent to Mweka Gate and return to Heart of Africa Lodge.
Safari Tour
Day 10: Transfer to Arusha, then to Tarangire National Park. Overnight at Ngorongoro Farmhouse.
Day 11: Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater. Overnight at Ngorongoro Farmhouse.
Day 12: Safari in Lake Manyara National Park. Return to Heart of Africa Lodge
Zanzibar Island
Day 13: Fly from Arusha to Zanzibar. Transfer to Tembo Hotel, Stone Town.
Day 14-15: Transfer to Sharazad Boutique Hotel, Jambiani Beach. Enjoy beach activities and explore local options.
Day 16: Return to Zanzibar airport and fly to Dar Es Salaam (DAR). End of services.

When to Visit Tanzania?
The best time to visit Tanzania depends on what you hope to experience. Generally, mid-June to October is East Africa’s dry season, providing ideal safari conditions. The best months to see the wildebeest migration are from June to early October. The calving season from late January to early March offers a chance to witness the wildebeest calving and predator sightings. April-May is regarded as the low season due to heavy rains.
